Gradus
Gradus is a multi-tier school ERP that unifies student, staff, attendance, academic, communication, and administrative workflows into a single platform. It ships in three tiers — Mini Gradus, Gradus Legacy, and Gradus Main — so the same core product can serve a small school or a large institution.
// The Problem
Schools juggle a patchwork of disconnected tools for attendance, academics, fees, and parent communication. Enterprise ERPs are expensive and overbuilt for smaller institutions, while cheaper tools cover only a slice of operations. The challenge was one coherent system flexible enough to fit very different school sizes and budgets.
// The Approach
- 01
Architected three product tiers (Mini, Legacy, Main) from a shared core so each school size gets the right surface area at the right price.
- 02
Built authentication, role-based access control, cloud storage, and file management from the ground up on Firebase and Next.js.
- 03
Modeled distinct roles — admin, staff, student, parent — with permissions scoped per tier.
- 04
Integrated the Google Maps Distance Matrix API to power location and route-based modules.
- 05
Set per-student pricing targeted at the Delhi market to keep it accessible to smaller schools.
- 06
Owned the full lifecycle solo — architecture, UI/UX, development, deployment, and hosting.
